Wayne Cox, 70, retired teacher and former Kingman resident, died Saturday (Sept., 9, 1967) in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a graduate of Kingman High School and Purdue University and attended Columbia University. A son of Erasmus and Mary Tomlinson Cox, he was born here Dec. 3, 1896. He was married March 24, 1917 to Hazel Bennett, who preceded him in death. Surviving are his second wife, Lois Pauline Cox; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Harry, Mrs. Dorothy May Sterling, Mrs. Margaret Ensign and Mrs. Carol Yorkey, all of Cuyahoga Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Cox of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Ella Eberley of Covington, and a brother, Eston Cox of Veedersburg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Clifford Funeral Home in Cuyahoga Falls. - kbz

Saunemin – Norris Wayne Cox, principal of Saunemin HS from 1922-27, died Sept 9 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Burial was Tuesday there. A graduate of Purdue University in 1922 and Columbia University in 1930, he was a sales representative for Houghton-Mifflin Publishing Co from 1930 – 1965. He had been retired for two years. Surviving are his wife, four daughters, two sisters and one brother. - kbz
